Before you relocate to your desired destination, it is necessary to pay your embassy a visit so that you can register to go to the country. Do this a couple months beforehand because it might take a while for your forms to process.

When you get registered you can make a plan of the countries that you want to live in and add the exact dates you want to go there. Online you can check out the embassies websites or maybe even twitter where you can get information on the country from news reports.
